A number of years ago, I was asked a simple question by a fellow artist “Penny, why do you paint?” I really had never previously thought about why I paint. But it was an easy question for me to answer. I paint because it is my passion, plain and simple. I create art because it is an integral part of who I am and it brings intense joy to me and those who adorn their homes with my art.

Yes, I do sell my art, and I am deeply appreciative and honored that so many of my clients want my art in their homes. But, more importantly, I have come to realize that I paint to express who I am. It is like the air I breath.
